- Tourism & Wildlife Society of India has organised 22nd edition of Indian Birding Fair on the banks of Man Sagar Lake.
- Man Sagar Lake is an artificial lake located in Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan. It is named after Raja Man Singh, the then ruler of Amer. The lake was constructed in 1690 AD by damming the Dravyavati River.
- The birding fair has been dedicated to conservation of waders. Waders are tiny birds commonly found along shorelines and mudflats. They wade in order to forage for food (e.g. insects) in moist surfaces. In Indian subcontinent, there are 84 species of wading birds, 64 of which are migratory. Examples: little stint, green sandpiper, small pratincole, pied avocet etc.
