Neglected Tropical Diseases:
- These are diverse groups of communicable diseases that prevail in tropical and subtropical conditions of developing regions of Asia, Africa, and America.
- These diseases are neglected because they mainly affect the poorest countries of the developing world and because of the recent emphasis on decreasing the prevalence of HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, and malaria
