- Two doctorate students from National Institute of Technology(NIT),Goa has been awarded the Gandhian Young Technological Innovation (GYTI) appreciation award 2019.
- Gandhian Young Technological Innovation awards has been instituted by the Society for Research and Initiatives for Sustainable Technologies and Institutions(SRISTI).
- The award celebrates the creativity and innovation of young technological students by recognising their outstanding projects.
- The awards are given for the spirit of student innovation in all the fields of engineering, science, technology and design through extremely affordable/frugal solution or the ones pushing the technological edge.
